This month we are highlighting one of our many Crowned Couples!  For 3 years Ryan and Madeline have prioritized wellness and stayed committed to CrossFit, but also find time to workout together despite busy schedules!  These two have a bright future ahead and are building a strong foundation both in and out of the gym.  It’s a privilege to have Ryan and Madeline as Crowned members!

Madeline, Give Us Your Story:
After college I was looking for a gym that had coach lead classes and workouts that were different each day. My goal was to just move and get into better shape. My mom and sister were also doing CrossFit at the time and I thought it sounded fun. So I joined CrossFit Crowned and haven't regretted it!
What CrossFit Means To You:
CrossFit to me means building confidence and reaching goals I make for myself. It is also an hour to relax and focus on something other than work and the other busy day to day things.
Advice For Someone New Or Considering Trying CrossFit:
Do it! The hardest part is deciding to join but you'll look back and think why was I so scared/nervous once you begin.
What is your favorite movement in CrossFit:
Cleans and movement with dumbbells
Ryan, Give Us Your Story:
Like most stories, during high school I was involved in multiple sports that kept me active and during my time in college I worked construction that kept me in shape. Once I graduated, I found myself in a cubicle and sitting for 8-10 hours each work day. My wife started a couple months before me and really enjoyed it. Finding that I had very little motivation and no drive to actually workout unless I was forced or someone told me exactly what to do, I realized I had to change what I was doing. So I decided to give it a try and met with Matt for a one on one. After my three introductory classes, I was hooked and never looked back.
What CrossFit Means To You:
With so many different options these days, I have found that CrossFit is the best program to spend that 1 hour each day of fitness for the average person with a busy schedule.
Advice For Someone New Or Considering Trying CrossFit:
CrossFit is just as addicting as it is intimidating for any beginner, but it is made for everyone and CrossFit great community to help you achieve your goals.
What is your favorite movement in CrossFit:
Olympic lifting and anything that does not involve burpees
